What is CIP?

(CIP), that is, Clean-In-Place, is a method of cleaning pipes, tanks, process equipment, filters and all related connection parts in place without disassembling them.

The advantages provided by the CIP Process are:

  • It is much faster than normal washing processes.
  • Hygiene as a result of washing is much higher than the old system.
  • Since the washing system is automated, the possibility of human error is eliminated.
  • Since the washing process is very easy and fast, it is very easy to repeat.
  • It is quite reliable.

In the CIP System, pipes and valves are flushed in a turbulent mode of fluid movement to achieve maximum flushing effect. At this stage, fixed or mobile type washing balls are used. Large-sized tanks are washed with a dynamic washing jet that cuts through dirt films and loose sediments with high energy.

There are two important criteria in washing: temperature and the chemical detergent used. These criteria vary depending on the industry and the company's choice.
